The 4th Annual Conifer Elevation Run/Walk in Conifer, CO is a fundraiser for Conifer High School Athletic Field Improvements and the Conifer Community Trails! Race categories include a 10K, 5K and 2 mile Fun Run.
This course celebrates the Conifer Trails. The trail takes you around the scenic Aspen Park neighborhoods of Conifer (average Elevation 8100 feet!) on some paved and dirt roads and trail running for the 10K'ers.
CONIFER IS JUST A SHORT SCENIC DRIVE FROM DENVER!
This event is followed by a two-day event on Sutton Road with music, food and vendors at the 4th Annual Conifer Elevation Celebration.

Post Race Events:
This race will be followed by the Conifer Elevation Celebration, a two-day event providing entertainment by several local bands, a variety of food, gift vendors and artisans. Stay and CELEBRATE! Start and Finish at Conifer's West Jeff Elementary School. This course takes you on a scenic loop around the North and South Aspen Park neighborhoods of Conifer. Beginning on the north side of Hwy 285 you will take the new CONIFER TRAIL clockwise along, under and over Hwy 285, up and down hills, and on many dirt roads. 10K runners get to add 3 miles of trail running in Meyers Ranch Park. Walkers and families have the option of a shortened 2 mile course.
Dan Imming Firefighter Challenge:
This challenge is being issued to six local fire departments including Elk Creek, Evergreen, Indian Hills, Inter-Canyon, North Fork and Platte Canyon. Each department may enter unlimited racers. The top three 5K racer times for each department will be averaged and the fastest team time will be the winner. The winning department will be awarded a trophy to be displayed in their firehouse for one year after which the teams vie again for the trophy. Elk Creek Fire Department was the 2015 winner and intends to win the challenge and keep the trophy in 2016. Good Luck to our Local Heros! Individual Awards given to top male & female in the following age categories:
5K: 0-7, 8-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.
10K: under 16, 17-25, 25-35, 36-45, 45-55, 56+.
Awards will be presented on the Main Elevation Celebration Stage. Random bib drawing winners will win prizes too, so stick around and enjoy the fun.
Directions to Start:
From C470 take Hwy 285 South for 13 miles to reach Conifer. Exit onto Barkley Road. From Evergreen follow Hwy 73 South to Barkley Road in Conifer. Signs will direct you to parking at West Jeff Elementary and Conifer Community Church. The starting line will form at the WJE Elementary play lot (south end of Sutton Street.)
FREE Parking is available at Conifer Community Church and at the West Jefferson Elementary School.
